INTEGRATIVE PRIMARY CARE
Primary care that looks deeper.
Your symptoms don’t exist in isolation. At Root Health, we take the time to connect the dots between your symptoms, labs, nutrition, hormones, metabolic health, lifestyle and medical history—so we can understand what may be driving how you feel, not simply manage symptoms one at a time.
Primary care, reimagined.
Instead of treating each symptom as a separate problem, we look at the bigger picture. Your health history, current symptoms, medications, nutrition, sleep, stress, hormones, metabolic health, gut health and lab patterns can all provide important pieces of the same puzzle.
At Root Health Integrative Medicine, visits are designed to give us the time to listen, investigate and create a personalized plan based on you—not just a diagnosis.
What we look at
Your health is interconnected. We look across multiple systems to identify patterns that may help explain how you're feeling and where to focus your care.
-
Hormone balance, thyroid function, perimenopause, menopause, testosterone, energy, mood and libido.
-
Blood sugar, insulin resistance, weight changes, cholesterol, body composition and metabolic risk.
-
Digestion, bloating, bowel changes, food reactions and factors that may be affecting the gut microbiome.
-
Vitamin D, B12, iron, magnesium and other nutrients that can influence energy, mood, immunity and overall health.
-
Inflammatory patterns, autoimmune concerns, recurrent symptoms and factors that may be contributing to immune dysregulation.
-
Sleep quality, stress response, fatigue, cortisol patterns and how well your body is recovering.
-
Blood pressure, cholesterol, advanced lipid markers and other cardiometabolic risk factors.
-
Identifying risk factors early and creating a proactive strategy to support long-term health.
You don’t need to have it all figured out before you come in.
Maybe you’re exhausted, struggling with weight changes, dealing with hormone or digestive symptoms, managing a chronic condition, or simply know you don’t feel like yourself.
Maybe you’ve been told your labs look “normal,” but you still don’t feel well.
Or maybe you feel fine and want a more proactive approach to protecting your health long-term.
Wherever you’re starting, we meet you there and build your care around your history, symptoms, goals and what your body is telling us.
What to expect at your first visit
01 — We listen
Your first visit gives us time to understand your full story—your current concerns, health history, medications, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, stress and goals.
02 — We look deeper
We review your existing labs and health data and determine whether additional conventional or functional testing may help us better understand what’s going on.
03 — We build your plan
You’ll leave with clear next steps and a personalized plan that may include nutrition, lifestyle changes, supplements, medications, additional testing or other therapies when appropriate.
Care that goes beyond the appointment.
Comprehensive lab review
We look beyond individual numbers to identify patterns across your health data and track changes over time.
Coordination & prevention
We help you stay proactive with appropriate screenings, prevention strategies and referrals when care outside our practice is needed.
Personalized treatment plan
Nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, medications and targeted therapies are considered based on your individual needs.
Ongoing follow-up
Your plan evolves as your symptoms, labs and goals change. We reassess what’s working and adjust when needed.
